Working with tony.

My husband Alan Mallett was on the Bomb Squad when we met in the early 1970's. At that time, Tony was the DI on the squad and they were engaged in hunting The Angry Brigade and the IRA.
Tony and Renee hosted a party in their house in Thames Ditton and there was a wonderful sense of cameraderie and humour.
They had adopted the frog as their emblem and a squad tie depicted a frog turning over an anarchist's drum.
There were frequent references to confiture de grenouille (frog jam!) frog jelly (green of course) and crunchy frog sandwiches.
Tony suggested the latter as a 'pick me up' when Alan was ill!
Tony was held in great esteem by Alan, indeed he persuaded him that it would be a good idea if we moved to Surbiton.
Within a few years we had new neighbours, John and Dee Selwood,
John was Renee's cousin.
It 's a small world!
